Finding an internship during a Global crisis is not easy at all and that too finding an internship that gives you a platform to grow is further difficult.
I am Dipra Jain, currently studying MSc International Marketing at King’s College London and Social Media Manager at SimplyPayMe. SimplyPayMe is an award-winning global provider of payments technology and infrastructure. It’s software solution makes it easier for merchants situated in the United Kingdom and United States of America to manage their payments.
This is my first internship during a pandemic in which people work remotely from different parts of the world together for the same goal i.e. how to enhance the customer experience at SimplyPayMe.
As a Social Media Manager, my work is to create and manage social media campaigns for all the official social media accounts of SimplyPayMe. Creating engaging content for a Fintech firm is challenging and exciting at the same time.
Targeting SMBs is very tricky and we do so by analysing our customers needs and wants. We create informative content that is helpful for our customers so that they can smoothly use the payments platform.
The most challenging campaign for me was the US collaboration with MasterCard. In just 2 weeks of my joining I was given a big opportunity to assist in the PR Launch and company expansion in the US. I tried to gain knowledge about the firm as soon as possible and the sector to draft a campaign and we WENT VIRAL. When it comes to my team members, they are all extremely helpful and full of positivity. They share their knowledge with me about the Fintech sector and how it is developing every single day. The best part about my internship is flexibility which is crucial in a remote working environment.
